Greensea Appoints Heath Hescock as New Robotics Engineer

Greensea, creator of OPENSEATM, the universal marine industry operating platform, has recently announced the appointment of Heath Hescock as Robotics Engineer. Prior to joining Greensea, Heath automated software functions through programming at Globalfoundaries, a world leader in semiconductor production. He earned a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Vermont, a B.A. degree from Vermont Technical College, and is also a skilled carpenter.

Teledyne CARIS™ to Provide a New Bathymetric Data Management System in Finland

Through a competitive tender process, The Finnish Transport Agency Liikennevirasto (FTA), who is responsible for Hydrography in Finland, has selected Teledyne CARIS™ to provide a new bathymetric data management system. This will be a fundamental part of FTA’s infrastructure to manage existing bathymetry, as well as managing and validating incoming bathymetric surveys provided by external contractors.

N-Sea and University of Strathclyde Collaborate for Innovative Subsea Project

Integrated subsea service provider, N-Sea, and the University of Strathclyde’s Institute of Sensors Signals and Communications at the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, have secured substantial funding from the Data Lab Innovation Centre for an innovative research project to automate subsea pipeline inspection.
