Oceanology International North America 2017 Registration Opens

One year on from its official launch, online registration is now open for the debut Oceanology International North America (OINA) exhibition and conference. Taking place at the San Diego Convention Center, California on February 14 – 16, 2017, OINA is an exciting new biennial series that will bring together 1000s of professionals from the ocean science and marine technology communities across the Americas and globally.

Automated Ships Ltd and KONGSBERG to Build First Unmanned and Fully-Automated Vessel for Offshore Operations

The UK’s Automated Ships Ltd (an M Subs Ltd subsidiary) and Norway’s Kongsberg Maritime have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to build the world’s first unmanned and fully-automated vessel for offshore operations. In January 2017, Automated Ships Ltd will contract the ‘Hrönn’, which will be designed and built in Norway in cooperation with KONGSBERG.

IHC IQIP’s Integrated Monopile Installer wins Maritime Innovation Award

The Integrated Monopile Installer – developed by Royal IHC’s subsidiary, IHC IQIP – has won the Maritime Innovation Award at the 11th Maritime Awards Gala, held on Monday 31 October. The award is presented annually for a Dutch innovation from the maritime sector that meets the requirements for widespread potential application, excellent marketing prospects and sufficient export possibilities.
