On Tuesday September 27, 2022, COTECMAR and Damen signed a contract for the co-development of the Contractual Design for the next generation of frigates for the Colombian Navy. Enforcer III is Saab’s test platform for development of autonomous functions. It is a converted Combat Boat 90, equipped with navigation and communication systems, sensors, cameras and lasers for navigation. The platform was tested in a joint trial between Saab and the Swedish Navy in the southern Baltic Sea.

The Propulsion Diesel Engines for the German Navy’s new 126 class of frigates will be supplied by MAN Energy Solutions. The news was announced during the SMM trade fair in Hamburg that the company has signed a contract with Damen Naval for the delivery of 8 × MAN 32/44CR propulsion engines, two for each of the four contracted frigates. An option exists for two further frigates.

Damen Naval and Rolls-Royce business unit Power Systems have signed a contract to deliver 16 mtu diesel generator sets, for the four new F126 Frigates for the German Navy.
