XKL Systems to Enhance London to Cape Town Subsea Network

The Tertiary Education and Research Network of South Africa (TENET) has purchased XKL DarkStar transponder and mux/demux systems from XKL LLC, providing a protected connection between two of their strategic data center locations in London. The interconnection is a critical component of a subsea cable network linking London to Cape Town.

Huawei Marine Kicks Off Phase II of Philippines’ Grid Project

Huawei Marine has announced the kick-off of Phase II of its Sorsogon-Samar Submarine Fiber Optical Interconnection Project (SSSFOIP) for the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP). The SSSFOIP system is located in the San Bernardino Strait, linking Sorsogon, the southernmost province on Luzon to the island of Samar.

Marlink Moves to New Facility in Houston

Marlink has moved to larger premises in Houston, ensuring its ability to meet the growing needs of its Gulf of Mexico offshore industry and shipping customers. The new facility includes expanded office space to accommodate growth in sales and support functions at both Marlink and Telemar, in addition to a new warehouse facility to support even more responsive bridge and satcom equipment installation, and on board services.
