Statoil Awards Contract to Alcatel for Permanent Reservoir Monitoring

Statoil has awarded a contract to Alcatel Submarine Networks for Permanent reservoir monitoring (PRM) on the Johan Sverdrup field. The seismic technology – a potential digital enabler for the field – will be a key contributor to delivering on Johan Sverdrup’s 70 percent recovery ambition.

De Poli Tankers, Marlink Renew Multi-Band Satcom Commitment

Dutch ship owner De Poli Tankers BV has extended its contract with Marlink, securing high-bandwidth global communication using the Sealink Plus service for its fleet of eight chemical tankers and two gas tankers. De Poli Tankers’ in-house ITC company, Maritime Performances BV, chose to retain the Sealink Plus service for the future as it combines high-bandwidth VSAT with unlimited L-band back-up in a single easy to manage bundle.

Curie Cable to Connect California and Chile

Alphabet Inc. (Google) and TE SubCom, a TE Connectivity Ltd. company (NYSE: TEL) and an industry pioneer in undersea communications technology, have announced that SubCom has been awarded the Curie Submarine Cable system contract. The system will add dedicated capacity to Google’s global network, enabling interconnection to other infrastructure in the region.

SEAIOCMA Extends Cable Maintenance Contract with Global Marine

Global Marine, a market leader in subsea fibre optic cable installation and maintenance solutions to the telecoms and oil & gas sectors and part of the Global Marine Group (GMG), announces that its maintenance contract with SEAIOCMA (South East Asia and Indian Ocean Cable Maintenance Agreement) has been extended for five-years, running to the end of 2022.

Prysmian Secures New Submarine Power Cable Contract in the Philippines
