Austal Limited has delivered the USNS Newport (EPF 12) to the United States Navy from Austal USA's state-of-the-art shipyard in Mobile, Alabama.

VideoRay announced that another multi-million dollar order for Defender ROV systems has been placed by the U.S. Navy. The purchase is under VideoRay's existing $49M contract to deliver the Navy's Next Generation ROV. The systems will be assembled and tested in VideoRay's Pottstown, Pennsylvania facility prior to being shipped to the Navy for worldwide operations.
General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) announced today that it has been awarded a developmental contract by Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) to provide manufacturing design drawings, engineering, fabrication, inspection, and assembly of prototype propulsor, shafting and bearing components as well as the equipment needed to support propulsor research & development, testing and evaluation.
The first of the US Navy's new YT-808 tugs, successfully launched by Dakota Creek Industries (DCI), is outfitted with a sophisticated package of Furuno Marine Electronics. YT-808 is designed after the existing YT-802 Valiant-class tug, and will be replacing aging vessels commissioned nearly half a century ago.
