CWind Training, a leading provider of health and safety, offshore skills and GWO-accredited training courses to the offshore wind industry, and part of the Global Marine Group, has announced their plans for relocation to Grimsby.

Marine-i has agreed to support a year-long research program to identify the potential for wave, tidal and floating wind technologies to be deployed around the Isles of Scilly. It is expected that this will lead to long-term economic, societal and environmental benefits for the communities living on the islands.

Ocergy, Inc. has secured investments from Moreld Ocean Wind (MOW) and Chevron Technology Ventures (CTV). The Series A round will fund Ocergy's growth and the commercialization of its sustainable offshore solutions, the OCG-Wind Floating Offshore Wind Turbine (FOWT) technology and OCG-Data environmental monitoring buoy. 

For the largest offshore wind farm in Denmark, Jan De Nul Group is installing a total of 72 wind turbines of 8.4MW each on behalf of Vattenfall Denmark. All together, these turbines will produce enough green electricity for the annual needs of approximately 600,000 Danish households. Today, Jan De Nul is halfway: 36 windmills to go.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) has been awarded the firm order from RWE for the 1.4 GW Sofia offshore wind power project. Sofia represents a giant leap for the company; located 195 km off the UK’s north eastern coast on Dogger Bank in the North Sea, the project will be the first to install the company’s flagship 14 MW Direct Drive offshore wind turbine.

NOAA has announced a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Ørsted Wind Power North America LLC, an offshore wind development company, to share physical and biological data in Ørsted-leased waters subject to U.S. jurisdiction.
