Hydraulic systems specialist, Webtool, announces a gripping and lifting tool for recovering subsea cable during telecom cable lay projects. The Cable Retrieval Tool (CRT200), developed in consultation with international certification body and classification society, DNV GL, allows the safe and controlled recovery of damaged cable up to 8” (203 mm) diameter.

Subsea wireless automation provider WFS Technologies, and marine rental equipment specialist Seatronics Inc, an Acteon company, demonstrated Drone-to-ROV wireless communications at a Subsea Internet of Things® event in Houston.

Internet infrastructure specialist Flexenclosure has taken a firm grip on the cable landing station market in the Pacific region with a second order in as many weeks. Flexenclosure today announced that it will deliver a cable landing station to Belau Submarine Cable Corporation (BSCC) in Palau.
