The Maritime Alliance Hosts San Diego BlueTech 2016 Week Focused on Optimizing Maritime Technology and the Blue Economy- November 7-11, 2016

The Maritime Alliance announces open registration for San Diego BlueTech Week 2016, which will focus on “Case Studies of Collaboration,” November 7-11, 2016 in San Diego, CA. San Diego BlueTech Week will feature three segments: 2nd Annual BlueTech Cluster Convening (by invitation only), Big-Data, Maritime Cyber and OceanGIS (co-sponsored by Scripps Institution of Oceanography) and the BlueTech and Blue Economy Summit, with a new pitch fest for small and medium size companies. The Summit will include: panel sessions, new technologies, keynote addresses from high level officials and key industry leaders, a tech expo and networking opportunities for industry stakeholders, investors, and government officials from around the world.

Excitement Builds for OCEANS ’16

The Marine Technology Society and the Oceanic Engineering Society of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) cosponsor a joint annual conference and exposition on ocean science, engineering, and policy. Held at the Portola Plaza and Monterey Marriott Hotels, the OCEANS conference covers four days and will feature 130 exhibitors, 11 tutorials, 8 workshops and special sessions, nearly 20 student posters, and a record number 510 technical presentations. It looks to be an exceptional week of information-sharing, networking, and engaging in thought-provoking discussions.

 

New Underwater Robotics Company Secures Contract with UK Marine Trust

An independent company focused on underwater integrity, remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), surveying and subsea services for both oil and gas, and renewables, Rovco has secured a contract with a UK Marine Trust.
