Prysmian Group, a world leader in the energy and telecom cable systems industry, has been awarded a contract worth approximately €200 million by Vineyard Wind, LLC, a US offshore wind development company 50% owned by funds of Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners and 50% by Avangrid Renewables (part of the Iberdrola Group), to provide a submarine power cable system which will deliver clean energy to the mainland power grid in the US.

Eni has made a new light oil discovery in Block 15/06, in Angola’s deep offshore. The well was drilled on the Ndungu exploration prospect. The new discovery is estimated to contain up to 250 million barrels of light oil in place, with further upside.
Siccar Point Energy (‘Siccar Point’) has completed drilling the Blackrock exploration well 204/5b-2 in the West of Shetland. The well was drilled with the Diamond Ocean GreatWhite semi-submersible on Licence P1830 in 1,115m of water, 10km north of the Siccar Point operated Cambo field.
