€1.2M Testing Boost to Offshore Renewables

36 offshore renewable energy developers will benefit from €1.2 million worth of free lab, tank and open-sea testing, courtesy of the MaRINET2 project. Since 2017, the project has awarded €3.5 million in free testing access to almost 100 users, giving an important boost to wave, tidal and offshore wind projects heading towards commercialization.

PLAT-I Operational in Nova Scotia

Department of Energy Announces $28 Million for Offshore Wind Energy

The U.S. Department of Energy announces up to $28 million in funding for a new Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) program, Aerodynamic Turbines, Lighter and Afloat, with Nautical Technologies and Integrated Servo-control (ATLANTIS). ATLANTIS projects will develop new technologies for floating, offshore wind turbines (FOWTs) using the discipline of control co-design (CCD).

Neptune Energy Submits Development Plans for Duva (PL636) and Gjøa P1

Neptune Energy has submitted development plans for the Duva (PL636) and Gjøa P1 (PL153) projects in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea. First production from the projects is expected in late 2020/early 2021. Total recoverable resources are estimated to be 120 million barrels of oil equivalent (Total of 54,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day at maximum production).

Total, Ørsted and Elicio in Joint Bid for Dunkirk Offshore Wind Farm
