NJBPU Approves Nation’s Largest Combined Offshore Wind Award

The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU) today awarded a combined 2,658 MW of offshore wind capacity to EDF/Shell’s Atlantic Shores Offshore Wind and Ørsted’s Ocean Wind II, bringing the state’s total planned capacity to over 3,700 MW and moving New Jersey closer to Governor Phil Murphy’s goal of 7,500 MW of offshore wind by 2035 and 100 percent clean energy by 2050.

Jan De Nul Group completed the installation of all 21 offshore wind turbines for the 109.2 MW Taiwan Power Company Offshore Windfarm Phase 1 Project – Demonstration, including the installation of all subsea cables. bp, Aker and Statkraft to Develop Offshore Wind in the Norwegian North Sea

bp has agreed to join Statkraft and Aker Offshore Wind in a ‎consortium bidding to develop offshore wind energy in Norway. The partnership – in which bp, Statkraft and Aker Offshore Wind will each hold a 33.3% ‎share – will pursue a bid to develop offshore wind power in the Sørlige Nordsjø II (SN2) ‎license area.
