The plan for development and operation (PDO) of the Breidablikk field in the North Sea has been approved by Norwegian authorities. Field investments are approximately NOK 18.6 billion. Production from the field is scheduled to start in the first half of 2024.

On 30 June at 21.56 CEST, the Martin Linge oil and gas field in the North Sea came on stream. The field is powered from shore, resulting in low CO₂ emissions, and operated from its onshore control room.

The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU) today awarded a combined 2,658 MW of offshore wind capacity to EDF/Shell’s Atlantic Shores Offshore Wind and Ørsted’s Ocean Wind II, bringing the state’s total planned capacity to over 3,700 MW and moving New Jersey closer to Governor Phil Murphy’s goal of 7,500 MW of offshore wind by 2035 and 100 percent clean energy by 2050.

TechnipFMC announced that it has been awarded a significant Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation contract by Equinor for the Kristin Sør field in the North Sea. For TechnipFMC, a “significant” contract is between $75 million and $250 million.
