The Canadian Underwater Conference & Exhibition
The Canadian Underwater Conference & Exhibition (CUCE) is the only show of its kind in Canada and offers a unique opportunity for those who work in the underwater industry, either directly or in support of the industry, to come together to celebrate their success and to discuss the future of their community. Created by the Diver Certification Board of Canada in 2008, the goal of the CUCE is to advance knowledge and practices related to the underwater industry through the presentation of technical papers and the exhibition of new equipment, technology and methods used in the industry.
In 2008 the CUCE had 24 booths, 22 speakers and about 100 attendees. In 2016 there were 34 booths and 200 attendees. In 2017 the CUCE expects to host more booths, more speakers and more attendees who, in the past, have represented Australia, Ukraine, China, Sweden, UK, USA and Canada.
Every year the CUCE is held in a different location moving from the East Coast to Central Canada then to the West Coast. In 2017 the CUCE will be held from March 26 to 28, 2017 at the Ottawa Conference and Events Centre in Ottawa, Ontario. The 11000 sq ft exhibition hall will accommodate 36 exhibitor booths and as always, all meals and breaks will take place in the exhibition hall.
Attendees will include occupational divers, diving contractors, military, police & fire service divers, diving equipment manufacturers & suppliers, ROV manufacturers & service providers, diver/ROV training school personnel, marine, scientific & engineering students & personnel, diving regulators, ROV pilot/technicians, ROV contractors, Port/Harbour Authorities, General & Marine Contractors & Local Authorities.
Highlights of the CUCE include cutting edge technical presentations, an influential keynote speaker, the Technical Excellence Award and Dinner, and the ever-popular debate panel which this year will focus on the harmonisation of federal and provincial diving regulations with the CSA family of diving standards.
The CUCE has become the must-attend event for everyone in Canada’s underwater industry; come and be a part of this vibrant community. Visit www.cuce.ca for further details.
