ODE Awarded Client Representatives Contract by East Anglia ONE

International engineering and operations support services contractor ODE, an integral part of the DORIS Group, has been awarded a consultancy framework agreement by ScottishPower Renewables for the provision of client representatives during construction activities for the East Anglia ONE Offshore Windfarm.

The agreement is the latest development in a ten-year relationship between ODE and ScottishPower Renewables, which plans to invest £2.5 billion in the East Anglia ONE project.

Located approximately 79 kilometers from Lowestoft, East Anglia ONE will consist of up to 102 wind turbines and foundations, each rated at seven megawatts. This gives an overall generating capacity of up to 714 megawatts – the equivalent of powering more than 500,000 homes.

This contract will see ODE provide specialist client representatives for the construction activities of the East Anglia ONE Offshore Windfarm. The scope covers all aspects of the construction process, including the installation of Piles, Jackets, Scour Protection and Cables. Grouting Operations and the WTG Package Works are also included.

Having recently completed similar work on the German Wikinger Offshore Wind Farm, ODE brings a strong successful track record in delivering both support and innovative solutions to numerous local and international offshore wind developments.

ODE will deliver engineering and project management support personnel for a period of up to mid-2020 on site and out of the Project Office in Central London.

ODE Regional Director, Jeff Barnes said: “The client representatives that we provide to East Anglia ONE will be the eyes and ears of the installation team. They undertake a significant role that will be instrumental in the efficient running and successful delivery of the project”

Jeff continued “This award will strengthen ODE’s continued growth in the offshore renewables sector and cements our position as one of Europe’s leading technical and project management companies to the offshore wind sector.”

Due to be fully commissioned in 2020, the project will play an important role in UK offshore wind power generation. It is an exciting opportunity and we are proud to be a key part of it”.
