Furuno USA Welcomes Marco Osorio as New Business Development Specialist for Latin America

Furuno USA has reached a representation agreement with Mr. Marco Osorio as Business Development Specialist for Latin America. Marco comes to Furuno with over two decades of practical knowledge and hands-on experience with the sale, installation, and service of marine electronics.

Marco’s path in the industry began in high school, where he simultaneously studied electronics at a technical school. While studying Finance and International Business at University, Marco went to work in the industry with a 21-year-long career with Furuno’s premiere Colombia dealer, Electronica Maritima ITEC S.A.S., performing radio surveys, APTs, and installation/repair services. Moving up the ranks to Service Coordinator, then Sales/Service Manager, Marco would go on to lead the company as General Manager for six years before coming aboard with Furuno USA, Inc. Even with his extensive knowledge and experience, Marco continues his studies in Sales Management at Universidad de la Sabana, bolstering his already impressive resume with courses in Project Evaluation and Digital Marketing.

Marco resides in Cartagena, Colombia, with his wife and two sons. He enjoys all forms of water sports, particularly stand-up paddle boarding, as well as hiking remote trails. Marco is also a seasoned traveler who enjoys meeting people and taking on new challenges. “I’ve been working with Furuno in one way or another for the last two decades, so I know the company very well,” said Marco. “It’s a great feeling to join the leader of the marine electronics market and help to further develop its presence in Latin America.”
