Foundation Center announces the launch of, a dynamic knowledge hub designed to track, inform, and inspire ocean conservation philanthropy around the world. It is a free resource aiming to level the playing field for everyone interested in saving our ocean.

Despite a growing ocean conservation movement, garnering attention and support from governments, philanthropists, and activists around the world, many continue to work in isolation. aims to break down knowledge barriers and democratize access to critical information needed to drive conservation philanthropy worldwide.

While exploring the free site, users will find:

  • the most current and complete interactive funding map of global ocean conservation efforts including philanthropic, U.S. Government, and Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development's Development Assistance Committee funding data — all in one convenient location;
  • a searchable library of curated reports, case studies, and other relevant resources on ocean conservation; and
  • an online community for sharing knowledge and building relationships created by Marine Watch International.
