EdgeTech Expands its Bathymetric Solutions Business Development

EdgeTech, a leader in high resolution sonar imaging systems and underwater technology, announces that Richard Hill has joined the organization in the role of Director of International Business Development. The role will initially focus on the expanding EdgeTech’s bathymetric marketing, sales and support in Europe and Asia.

Richard comes to the company with a strong background in hydrographic surveying and years of technical and business development experience in the industry. Products and solutions in the EdgeTech bathymetric line include the newly released shallow water 6205s system as well as 2300 towed side scan, bathymetry, sub-bottom profiling systems and 2205 USV-optimized bathymetry systems as well as ROV and AUV based sonar systems which offer a combination of side scan, sub-bottom and bathymetry technology. The 6205s overcomes the limitations of Multi Beam Echo Sounders (MBES) and Interferometric systems in shallow water by using EdgeTech’s unique Multi-Phase Echo Sounder (MPES) technology. This hybrid approach combines both beamforming and phase discrimination techniques to determine each sounding along the seafloor.
