BOEM Publishes Final Notice of Sale for GoM Oil & Gas Lease Sale 261

As required by the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) will publish the Final Notice of Sale (FNOS) and Record of Decision (ROD) for Gulf of Mexico Oil and Gas Lease Sale 261 in the Federal Register on August 25, 2023. BOEM plans to conduct the lease sale on September 27, 2023.

Correll Group Secures Further Contract from Seaway 7

The Correll Group, Electrical Engineering Division is pleased to announce that it has been contracted by Seaway 7 to complete the termination and testing of 29 66 kV inter-array cables (IAC) and four landfall export cables on Zhong Neng Offshore Wind Farm. Scope of work also includes pre and post engineering and logistical operations.

Ampelmann Signs Second Contract for New Ulstein CSOVs

Ampelmann, the Dutch offshore access provider, has signed a new contract to build two more W-type systems for Ulstein, on behalf of one of Germany’s major shipowners. This is Ampelmann's second contract with Ulstein to provide an integrated gangway system on two new vessels, further cementing the trust and reliability the Norwegian ship builders have with the company's gangways and services.

MODEC’s FPSO Anita Garibaldi MV33 Achieves First Oil and Starts 25-Year Time Charter

MODEC, Inc. (MODEC) announced that the FPSO Anita Garibaldi MV33 achieved First Oil production on August 16, 2023. Deployed for production operations at the Marlim field in the Campos Basin off the coast of Brazil, the FPSO is leased on a 25-year time charter contract to Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras), the Brazilian giant oil company.

Wintershall Dea Awarded First CCS License in the United Kingdom

Wintershall Dea is intensifying its carbon capture and storage (CCS) activities in the Southern North Sea. The company has been awarded a new license by the North Sea Transition Authority (NSTA) to store CO2 under the seabed. The Camelot license’s annual storage potential is up to 6 million tonnes and provides a significant and valuable contribution to the CO2 abatement potential in the UK.

Revolution Wind Receives Federal Record of Decision

Revolution Wind has announced receipt of its Record of Decision (ROD) from the U.S. Department of the Interior's Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM), successfully reaching a major milestone in the federal environmental review process for the offshore wind project serving Rhode Island and Connecticut.
