Teledyne Marine and Nekton in Strategic Partnership

Nekton and Teledyne Marine have a shared common purpose to lead the discovery, and enhance the understanding of our oceans.

Teledyne Marine offers the largest breadth of marine technology in the industry. The Sea of Solutions including Imaging, Instruments, Interconnect, Seismic and Vehicles technology are all required to lead the pioneering exploration of the ocean and enhance the understanding of its health and its resilience.

Teledyne Marine and Nekton successfully partnered on Mission I to the NW Atlantic with Nekton generating a global audience of over 800m, discovering over 100 new species, confirming the existence of a massive new ecosystem (The Rariphotic Zone from 130m to 300m), launching an Alliance of 40 world-leading organizations including UNESCO, Ocean Elders, IUCN, University of Oxford and Google-YouTube. As Nekton’s Official Subsea Technology Partner, Teledyne Marine will contribute equipment, technology and support for Mission II, with the aim to significantly increase research productivity and above all, help to explore our planet’s last great frontier and accelerate its sustainable governance.

Nekton Oxford Deep Ocean Research Institute undertakes multidisciplinary scientific research into the state of the deep ocean, the planet’s most critical yet least explored ecosystem. As a centre for innovation, Nekton invests in initiatives that accelerate scientific discovery and ocean governance. Nekton is a charity, established in the UK, with headquarters in Oxford, working with the University of Oxford.
