PointShield™ - a Portable Diver Detection Sonar (PDDS) for the protection of surface vessels from underwater intrusion and sabotage, incorporated into the DSIT multi-layered defense solutions

Some examples to DSIT’s multi-layered defense solution achieved by integrating the various proven capabilities and systems into one comprehensive incorporated solution, are the Shield TM family of sonars, such as the SeaShieldTM ASW sonar and the AquaShield™ Diver Detection Sonar (DDS),that cost-effectively cover immediate, close-ranged threats, and are both stationary sonar systems. A land-based mission control system manages these costal & littoral waters’ stationed sonars, utilizing advanced signal processing and displays, machine learning techniques for automation algorithms, and the reduction of operator’s workload and required expertise. Highly advanced hardware with the latest-generation processing capabilities ensure sonar systems’ superior performance with minimal footprint. The PointShield™ Portable Diver Detection Sonar (PDDS) system is used to protect strategic assets and ships when on-board vessels at shallow waters, and the FishTM ASW family of sonar systems detects approaching underwater threats that are a risk to those assets.

Also on display at IMDEX 2019 is DSIT’s state-of-the-art full tactical submarine mission sonar simulation and training system, as well as DSIT’s Portable Acoustic Range (PAR) systems accurately measuring the radiated noise of ships and submarines while maintaining the vessels’ low noise signature.
