MacArtney’s 2018/19 financials demonstrate a growing top and bottom line with increased activity in key underwater technology industries. With a continued presence in Oil & Gas, Ocean Science, Defence, Civil Engineering and a renewed strategy for Offshore Renewable Energy, MacArtney are increasing revenue today while supporting the development of tomorrow.

As a high tech, progress orientated international group, headquartered in the diverse and dynamic business hub of Esbjerg, Denmark; MacArtney has over 40 years of expertise and experience in the underwater technology world.

International operations span the globe from Singapore, China and Australia to the US and Canada, to the United Kingdom, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, Netherlands and most recently, Italy.

The newest operation, MacArtney Italy S.r.L., launched in late 2019, expands MacArtney’s global footprint and opens up a new underwater technology market in the Italian sector. While MacArtney Canada’s move to the collaborative Centre for Ocean Ventures & Entrepreneurship (COVE) in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia has provided further opportunity for expansion, innovation and development.

Reporting on the financial year, MacArtney’s CEO, Claus Omann states,

“Our strengthened scalable business model, designed to increase revenue today and support development tomorrow, increases our agility and efficiency. We can reflect on a successful year, one built on a strong foundation that can support our future progress”.

MacArtney’s continued success relies on the innovation and dedication of its people. With increased employee numbers, MacArtney now has approximately 450 employees worldwide and offers exciting and fulfilling opportunities for highly educated and skilled professionals.

Contributing to MacArtney’s successful year, the exciting new TrustLink and eLARS product launches demonstrate MacArtney as a market leader in underwater technology system solutions.

The launch of the TrustLink harsh environment subsea connector in the early part of 2019 and the development of the all-electric and eco-friendly launch and recovery system - the eLARS, broadens the MacArtney product portfolio, with more exciting product developments in progress for 2020/21.

Development of MacArtney’s service business and the expansion of the US-based SubConn® connector production facility have also become important areas of growth.

The Global Service and After-sales department is focused on improving the provision and structure of service and after-sales to our customers across the globe and has demonstrated positive increases throughout the year while the expansion and investment in the SubConn® brand sought to fulfil an increased global market need for robust connectivity.

Looking to the future, MacArtney is ready to scale upwards from a strong foundation of service, innovation and dedication.
