EEEGR Successfully Launches Its Hybrid Events Program

East of England Energy Group, (EEEGR) has hosted the regions first sector hybrid event. With over sixty in person guests and one hundred and twenty virtual delegates joining to shape and discuss the regions first Offshore Wind Cluster Group.
EEEGR’s new event manager, Anna Castles recently recruited to support the organization in delivering a sophisticated and busy events schedule for the upcoming year said,
“It’s been great to kick off our events schedule with the much-anticipated Offshore Wind Cluster launch. Demand for both the in-person and virtual tickets was really high, demonstrating a clear appetite from both our membership and the wider sector community. East Coast College were great hosts, providing a suitable venue and all the appropriate covid safe procedures.”
EEEGR was supported by Vattenfall to put the event on and as keen supporters to see the Cluster get up and running. Catrin Ellis Jones for Vattenfall said:
"It was great to see so many businesses across the region come together, able to meet once more. The appetite for the event was extremely high, and we look forward to building on this momentum with EEEGR, other developers and companies representing the sector in the region."
The event engaged a wide spread of businesses form across the supply chain including; RWE, SLP-Sembmarine, OHT and ABP
Denise Hone from HEXIS said “It was great to be out and about actually attending an event in person and to see so many people turn up was great. Knowing that the digital option is available as well is really valuable to local businesses, it shows EEEGR is supporting as much engagement with the sector as possible.”
EEEGR is set to hold similar hybrid events to celebrate Wind week in October 2021 and its annual SNS conference in March 2022. This will be proceeded by several smaller events across the Eastern Region in the later part of 2021, engaging supply chains across Essex and Cambridgeshire. The hybrid delivery model will play a key role in the success of these events.
