Prysmian Completes Viking Link Interconnector Between the UK and Denmark

Prysmian Group, world leader in the energy and telecom cable systems industry, announces it has successfully completed the installation and HV testing activities of its 1,400 km of submarine and land power cables for the Viking Link Interconnector, the world’s longest onshore and offshore HVDC interconnector connecting the UK and Denmark. Viking Link is a joint venture between National Grid and Energinet and it is due to be operational by the end of 2023.

Hellenic Cables Awarded Cable Contract for Gennaker Offshore Wind Farm

Hellenic Cables, the cables segment of Cenergy Holdings, was awarded a contract by 50Hertz Offshore GmbH for the turnkey delivery of two export cable systems for the interconnection to the German grid of the Western Offshore Sub Station of Gennaker, an offshore wind farm with a capacity of about 927 MW located in the German Baltic Sea, utilizing 220 kV AC technology.
