AIS Survivex Launches a Series of Events to Support the Growth of Energy industry

Leading training provider, AIS Survivex, is launching a series of Energy Sector Careers Events across the UK, to highlight the pivotal role that training will play as the transition to a net zero future nears.

The conversation around the skills gap in the clean energy and renewables sector has been widely spoken of as work evolves and increases in this sector, it has never been more crucial to address the need for workers to evolve and transform their training.

As well as the role of the renewables industry, the oil and gas sector has a major part to play in the energy transition, with the majority oil and gas majors announcing net-zero emissions pledges in line with the goals of the Paris agreement.

AIS Survivex has launched these events and is collaborating with some of the leading names in the global energy industry, including energy companies, EPC contractors, specialist service providers and recruiters. The events will take place in the training provider’s two key UK hubs, Newcastle and Aberdeen, on the 9th and the 10th of February respectively.

As well as a range of exhibitors, the drop-in, free of charge events will feature presentations delivered by industry experts, focusing on the current landscape and the career development opportunities that presently exist in the market. Paul Knowles, Vice President UK and Europe at AIS Survivex, commented: “The industry is going through some exciting changes with the energy transition, and we are proud to be leading the way to help the oil and gas workers transition their careers. We aim to make the training and re-skilling required for net zero more accessible and effective for our customers. Our Energy Sector Careers Events are always incredibly popular, and with new and previously delayed projects re-starting, we anticipate that this year’s events to be no different.

“The increase in global oil and gas and renewables activity, together with the ramifications of the global pandemic, has resulted in a huge demand for skilled personnel. Our events offer the chance to speak with key employers and recruitment experts face-to-face, get some invaluable advice and, hopefully, your next big opportunity.”
