Newton Labs Demonstrates Subsea Laser Scanners at Seanic Facility

Newton Labs, the world’s largest manufacturer of Underwater Laser Scanners, demonstrated their M3200UW subsea Laser Scanners last week in front of a large industry crowd at Seanic Ocean Systems in Katy, TX.

The demonstration, organized by Newton’s Gulf Coast Sales rep C.A. Richards and Associates, was widely attended by representatives from the Gulf of Mexico Oil and Gas industry including Majors, Service Providers and Contractors. Newton Labs showcased their precision data acquisition in subsea applications. The Newton subsea systems are ready for immediate deployment.

“There is a lot of positive momentum behind Underwater Laser Scanning in the Oil and Gas market and it’s clear people are looking for new solutions in their approach to IRM,” said John Bramblet, President of Newton Labs. “Our company sees this subsea and marine demand and we are committed to extend our company’s reputation for high resolution underwater laser scanning.“

The Newton subsea laser scanners operate at depths up to 4000 meters and capture raw as-built data to within 0.1 mm. Each subsea system has a measurement range up to 5 meters. The Newton subsea Laser Scanner line includes the M1500UW, M3200UW and M4000UW, respectively depth rated to 1500m, 3200m and 4000m. Newton introduced the first Underwater Laser Scanner to the market in 2010 with the release of the NM200UW followed by the M210UW and M310UW.
