General Dynamics Launches Latest Bluefin Robotics Vehicle

General Dynamics Mission Systems released the new Bluefin-9 autonomous unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) this week at OCEANS 2018 in Charleston, SC.

Featuring a full carbon fiber body, this completely redesigned vehicle combines high navigational accuracy and outstanding sonar resolution to deliver highly-detailed subsurface data in minutes. The two-man portable UUV provides the same data collection capabilities of larger UUVs, and can be deployed and recovered from piers, a rigid-hulled inflatable boat (RHIB) or other vessels of opportunity.
