M-Tech Offshore A/S, is a Danish joint venture company equally owned by NT Offshore A/S and Maritech International LTD, owning and operating the CLV SIA, an efficient handy-sized DP-2 cable laying vessel, which is configured for worldwide inter-array and subsea power cable installations and maintenance, with additional facilities on-board to accommodate for installation of smaller subsea cables, including fibre-optics.

MarineFields and Inmarsat have signed an MOU to partner in investigating how sea traffic management and satellite connectivity can make port calls more efficient for all stakeholders through improved information sharing, situational awareness, optimized processes, and collaborative decision making.

Companhia Brasileira de Offshore (CBO) has chosen Cobham SATCOM VSAT and Satellite TV (TVRO) antennas in addition to radio communication equipment for installation on six new Offshore Support Vessels (OSV). CBO’s state-of-the-art new OSVs have been commissioned to fulfil development contracts offshore Brazil and will be entering service during 2017 and 2018.

TE SubCom, a TE Connectivity Ltd. company, announced that it has been awarded the South Pacific Marine Maintenance Agreement (SPMMA), a five-year service agreement between SubCom and 14 cable operators in the region. Under terms of the agreement, which took effect March 10, 2017, SubCom will maintain more than 51,000 km of cable that comprise 19 disparate telecommunications and power cable systems.

IOX Cable Ltd, a Mauritius-based company, and Alcatel Submarine Networks (ASN), part of Nokia, have signed a turnkey agreement for the deployment of the IOX Cable System, which will increase the availability of ultra-high speed broadband services, and reinforce Mauritius as a communication hub in sub-Saharan Africa.

Huawei Marine Networks Co., Limited and Super Sea Cable Networks Pte. Ltd (SEAX) announced the completion of offshore and inshore marine surveys covering the full route of its SEAX-1 submarine cable system between the Eastern seaboard of Peninsular Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia.

Hawaiki Submarine Cable LP and TE SubCom, a TE Connectivity Ltd. company, announced that new milestones have been reached in the manufacturing of Hawaiki, the 14,000 km transpacific cable system that will link Australia and New Zealand to the mainland United States, as well as Hawaii and American Samoa, with options to expand to several other South Pacific islands.

Cobham SATCOM has marked a major milestone for its market leading Inmarsat FleetBroadband hardware portfolio, with delivery of the 50,000th SAILOR FleetBroadband terminal.
