SUBSEA 20/20 Named US Distributor for Picotech Multibeam Sonar

SUBSEA 20/20, Inc. was recently named as the first US distributor of UK sonar manufacturer Picotech Ltd's current generation of products.

Picotech’s product line includes several unique multibeam products, including the PicoCAT USV and the world’s smallest integrated multibeam sonar, the PicoMB-130. Picotech sonars are built on a scalable hardware and firmware platform called PicoSonar, which is also supplied to Kraken Robotics for their AquaPix® MINSAS and AquaPix® INSAS sonar systems.

The PicoMB-130 features unprecedented size and weight and class-leading power consumption, making it ideal for mobilization on man-portable USVs and small survey vessels. The PicoPOD is a turnkey multibeam package to power-up USVs for autonomous multibeam surveys. PicoPOD has a simple mechanical interface and free open-source autopilot. All Picotech sonars are supported by industry standard acquisition and processing software including BeamworX®, EIVA NaviSuite®, Xylem HYPACK®, Teledyne PDS® and QPS QINSy®.
