Saipem and Ficantieri Sign MoU to Collaborate in Subsea Domain

Fincantieri, the only shipbuilding group in the world active in all high-tech marine industry sectors, and Saipem, a global leader in the engineering and construction of infrastructure for the energy sector, both offshore and onshore, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to evaluate commercial and industrial opportunities for cooperation in the field of autonomous subsea vehicles and their integration with surface and underwater units. The Memorandum, signed at Palazzo Marina, the headquarters of the General Staff of the Italian Navy, is among the initiatives aimed at promoting and developing national excellence in the Underwater sector.

The field is located approximately 30 kilometers south of the US/Mexico border and 180 kilometers away from the Mexican coastline, at a water depth of 2,600 meters.

DOF Awarded Substantial Subsea EPRD Contract from A/S Norske Shell

DOF has been awarded a Substantial Subsea Engineering Procurement Removal and Disposal (EPRD) Contract from A/S Norske Shell in the Atlantic region, with more than 100 combined days utilization of the vessels Skandi Hera and Maersk Installer. DOF shall deliver an integrated solution of project management, engineering, design, analysis and survey. The scope includes recovery and recycling of umbilicals, risers, rigid spools, manifolds and other subsea structures and infrastructure, at the Knarr and Gaupe fields.
