WOC Announces Conference Chair for the 2019 Sustainable Ocean Summit

The World Ocean Council (WOC) announces that Mr. Frédéric Moncany de Saint-Aignan, President, French Maritime Cluster, is the Conference Chair for the 7th Sustainable Ocean Summit (SOS), in Paris, 20-22 November 2019.

Mr. Moncany de Saint-Aignan stated, “I am honored to be the Conference Chair for the World Ocean Council’s 2019 Sustainable Ocean Summit, with its theme of ‘Investing in Ocean Futures: Finance and Innovation for the Blue Economy’. The WOC’s SOS brings together the international ocean business community to advance collaboration on sustainable development, and I encourage leadership companies from all ocean industries to come to Paris for this important annual gathering.”

The President of the French Maritime Cluster added, “The World Ocean Council is the unique, international, global, multi-industry forum that brings together leadership companies who care about the ocean to engage with their peers from a range of other ocean business sectors, and with other stakeholders.”

The French Maritime Cluster is an association which gathers 430 companies in order to stimulate and promote the broad French maritime economic sector in France and overseas. It works closely with the French public maritime authorities, and since 2017 co-chairs, with the General Secretariat of the sea, a task force dedicated to foster the blue economy, called the French Maritime Committee.
