WFS Technologies has been honored with a top industry award after winning Oil & Gas UK’s Business Innovation accolade for its pioneering Seatooth® technology.

An industry first Seatooth technology enables the automation and digitalization of subsea assets through its ability to communicate through steel, ground, sea water and the water-air boundary, and performs a key role in tackling the real-time monitoring of offshore assets and production both above and below surface.

Moray Melhuish, Commercial Director at WFS Technologies, picked up the accolade at Oil & Gas UK’s annual awards ceremony which was held at Aberdeen’s P&J Live.

“Winning the OGUK award for SME Business Innovation is tremendous industry recognition of the latest generation of Seatooth, which reinforces our commitment to delivering technologies which improve safety, reduce risk of environmental incidents as well as minimizing the cost of ownership. It can perform a key role in tackling the real time fatigue monitoring of offshore structures including jackets, braces, risers and pipelines as well as monitoring subsea flow including pipeline temperature, sand and vibration.

“We congratulate all our team who were involved in developing the Seatooth for their sheer hard work and diligence which has resulted in a ground-breaking technology for the offshore energy industry.”
