UTEC Geomarine Key Appointments Support Client-Focus Approach

UTEC Geomarine, part of UTEC Survey, an Acteon company, has announced key management appointments to support a more client-focused approach which further underline the UTEC’s position as a market leader in geoscience.

Jim Edmunds, the company’s Technology Director, assumes responsibility for operational and technical project execution, as well as development of the company’s geotechnical contracting business. Jim has been with UTEC Geomarine since 2010 and plays a key role in development of UTEC’s emerging technologies in the geoscience field. Jim brings 22 years of industry experience to UTEC Geomarine and is based out of Bath.

Scott Gooding will now serve as General Manager for the consultancy services arm of the business. Scott will be responsible for the consultancy team based out of Newcastle. Providing high quality engineering, he will focus on UTEC Geomarine client’s business drivers to provide efficient, innovative, and cost effective solutions in the current challenging climate. Scott has been with Geomarine since 2011 holding the position of Engineering Manager. Prior to joining the company, Scott gained significant experience in the subsea pipeline and cable burial arenas as well as working in emergency response planning in local government in England. Scott has 12 years’ experience in the industry and is a graduate of the University of Leicester.

In addition, Mike Fearn has joined the UTEC Geomarine team as Business Development Manager and will be based out of Aberdeen. Mike will be responsible for development of the company’s growing portfolio of contracting and consultancy services, predominantly in Europe and Africa. With nearly 20 years’ experience in Oil & Gas, Mike brings a high level of expertise and focus to drive growth in today’s highly competitive market.
