SevenCs and TELKO have announced a cooperation agreement relating to the use of the Nautilus SDK Kernel in the development of TELKO’s new TECDIS units and cooperation regarding the distribution of electronic navigational data between the two companies.
SevenCs’ Nautilus Kernel is the world’s leading software development kit (SDK) for ECDIS applications. It is S-100 compliant and allows for the loading and display of multiple maritime and military chart formats, fulfilling the IMO, IHO and IEC requirements for type-approved bridge equipment. The Nautilus ECDIS Kernel also provides fast and easy chart import technology regardless of the ECDIS, ECS, shore application, recreational product, or tactical display.
Oliver Schwarz, Business Development Director at SevenCs, said “The Nautilus ECDIS Kernel sets a significant new benchmark for maritime SDKs. With over 30,000 licenses sold in the maritime and naval markets we are the largest provider of SDKs – no one knows the business better than us.”
“Our cooperation agreement with TELKO is a great match between two leading companies, and we expect each of us to benefit from wider commercial networks and better systems for our clients. At the end of the day, it’s about providing ECDIS users with faster and better navigation systems.”
Knut Vidar Lauritzen, President of TELKO International AS, added: “When we were looking for a new technological platform for our future range of products, we assessed the available toolkits on the market and SevenCs was the preferred choice of our Development team due to its future proof and high-performing architecture.”
