Seatrium and TCOMS Reach Agreement for Semi-Submersible Wind Platform Design

Seatrium is pleased to announce the official signing of the Project Agreement with TCOMS - Technology Centre for Offshore and Marine, Singapore for the development of a Semi-Submersible Wind Platform Design under the ENFORCE—Enabling Future Systems for Offshore Wind ResourCEs Program.

Key objectives of this agreement include close collaboration with TCOMS to enhance the design of Seatrium’s proprietary Floating Offshore Wind Turbine (FOWT) Platform for optimal performance, including investigation and analysis of the platform’s global performance, design enhancements, and proof-of-concept prototype testing in ocean-simulated environments.

The signing ceremony, which took place at Seatrium’s flagship Tuas Boulevard Yard on March 1, 2024, was a momentous occasion with the project agreement’s signatories represented by Aziz Merchant, EVP of Engineering, Tech & New Product Development at Seatrium, and Professor Michael Si, Director (Projects), TCOMS; witnessed by Chris Ong (CEO of Seatrium) and Mr. Frederick Chew (CEO of A*STAR), alongside with Professor Chan Eng Soon (CEO of TCOMS).
