Saildrone Named “Best Tech for Good” at 2022 Timmy Awards

Saildrone is thrilled to announce that it has been selected from among 10 regional finalists and a record-setting number of entries as North America’s “Best Tech for Good” at the 2022 Timmy Awards.

The Timmy Awards are presented annually by Tech in Motion, a platform bringing local tech professionals together to connect, learn, and innovate.

The impact the changing environment will have on global communities is possibly the greatest single challenge facing humanity. The Saildrone fleet has logged more than 22,000 days at sea in some of the most extreme weather conditions on the planet.

Best Tech for Good is the latest of several awards won by Saildrone in 2022, including the Ocean Awards’ Innovation Award for revolutionizing ocean mapping, and the Albert A. Michelson Award for innovation presented by the Navy League of the United States. Saildrone was also named to Fast Company’s annual list of the World’s Most Innovative Companies.
