OceanWorks International Hires New Project Director

OceanWorks International announced the appointment of Mr. Richard Gage, P.Eng, in the role of Director of the Project Management Office (PMO).

Rich is responsible for overseeing and supporting the successful execution of all projects. Through the management of the PMO, the Project Director facilitates the required approval of project scopes, schedules, and budgets. Rich’s extensive experience is directly in line with OceanWorks’ growing subsea technology business in Oil & Gas, Submarine Rescue, and Ocean Observing Systems.

The Project Director will lead its project management personnel and processes to ensure that cost and schedule progression controls are effective, project risks are identified and mitigated in a timely manner, and OceanWorks continues to deliver on-time on budget projects to its customers.

Rich brings to OceanWorks an awarded skillset established at BCHydro. While at BCH, his PMO was the recipient of the Project Management Institute (PMI) Office of the Year Award for 2016.

Glen Viau, President of OceanWorks International, says, “I’ve worked with Rich on a number of challenging subsea and offshore projects in the past. His offshore experience combined with his disciplined approach to project management is a welcome addition to our growing team.”
