Greensea Appoints New Chief Marketing Officer

Subsea robotics company advances sales and marketing for their unmanned navigation and control systems.

Greensea Systems, Inc., a world leader in automation and navigation for unmanned underwater vehicles, announces that Marybeth Gilliam has joined the firm as Chief Marketing Officer to commercialize the company's products. Marybeth comes with over 25 years of experience in market research, marketing, branding, and sales, including 14 years managing her own company.

Marybeth is originally from Vermont and received her BA from the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont. She worked for New York advertising firms Lord Dentsu & Partners and TBWA Chiat Day before helping to grow a small creative shop called Hampel Stefanides to national acclaim. Marybeth was chosen to open the West Coast office of Hampel Stefanides and served as their VP, Director of Client services. Eventually, she left to start her own business.

During her career Marybeth worked with several of George Lucas's businesses including Lucas Arts, Lucas Learning and the George Lucas Education Foundation where she was instrumental in developing an award-winning media kit. Some of her other clients included SoundHound, NEC Technologies, Micron, Eisenhower Medical Center and El Camino Hospital. Marybeth's experience includes an extensive background in research and planning. She was recently the lead researcher on an Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) grant-funded study that was conducted for understanding how technology can positively effect patient engagement.

At Greensea, Marybeth will help develop and implement a world-wide marketing strategy for the company's vehicle automation and navigation systems. She will work directly with Greensea's President and CEO, Ben Kinnaman, to further commercialize Greensea's current products, Balefire and Endal, as well as any new technology developed by Greensea's talented engineers.
