Fulkrum to leverage UAE opportunities, securing a fifth ISO 17020 Accreditation
Fulkrum, a leading provider of inspection, expediting, auditing and technical staffing services to the energy industry, has received the prestigious ISO 17020 accreditation in the UAE, certifying Fulkrum’s technical competence, consistency, and impartiality in providing Type A inspection services.
This most recent accreditation from ENAS brings Fulkrum’s total number of offices with ISO 17020 accreditation status to five, including Brazil, USA, UK, Malaysia, and now the UAE.
Developed by the Emirates National Accreditation System (ENAS), ISO/IEC 17020 was introduced in the UAE for inspection companies operating in a wide variety of sectors and fosters a common gold standard for technical competence and management practice of inspection service providers. Furthermore, ISO 17020 accredited inspection provides assurance of technically competent service and consistently reliable results, reducing costs and lowering risks. It is key in demonstrating that products, equipment, structures, and systems meet required specifications. Governments and industries around the world are increasingly requiring use of accredited inspection services.
Many countries around the world require a company to achieve various conformity accreditations before securing in-country business and obtaining the ISO 17020 accreditation means Fulkrum has proven its ability to manage impartiality and conflicts of interest, as well as the technical competence of people, inspection processes and equipment for its clients.
Brock Falkenhagen, Global Vice President, said: “Fulkrum committing to and securing ISO 17020 accreditations in five countries is testament to the hard work of our talented team and provides clients with additional assurance of our integrity in everything we do. We strive to be recognised as the best-in-class partner for inspection, expediting, auditing and technical staffing services and these achievements are evidence that we are doing just that.
The UAE is a key growth market for the business, and we are confident that ISO 17020 accreditation will open new doors for Fulkrum in the region.”
This announcement comes after Fulkrum implemented an Integrated Management System (IMS) combining its ISO 9001:2018, ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 certified systems in quarter two of 2022, solidifying its commitment to Quality, Health, Safety, and the Environment in all its global activities.
