Each year, MTS recognizes standout engineers, scientists, technologists, policy-makers, educators, and students who are making a significant impact on the profession and our community.

Award winners are recognized during the annual OCEANS conference and in various publications. All MTS members can nominate individuals for 12 awards including (but not limited to):

• Lockheed Martin Award for Ocean Science and Engineering
• Ocean News and Technology Young Professional Award
• Outstanding Section, Student Section, and Committee Awards
• The John P. Craven Mentor Award
• The inaugural Captain Don Walsh Award for Ocean Exploration
