The delivery of what will be Scotland’s largest offshore wind farm took has taken another major step forward as the first jacket superstructures, destined for the 1.1GW Seagreen project arrived at Port of Nigg in Cromarty Firth, ahead of their upcoming installation in the deep waters of the North Sea, 27km off the Scottish coast near Angus.

The Yme Field in the North Sea Starts Up Again

The Norwegian authorities have granted Repsol consent for a new start-up of the Yme field in the North Sea. Yme will once again be producing oil, 20 years after the last time the field was on stream. Planned start-up will be in the second half of 2021.
