Long experience

“In Norway, we have long experience and good expertise when it comes to safe storage of CO2 under the seabed,” says Eva Halland, who works with CCS (Carbon Capture and Storage) in the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate.

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate has mapped areas that are suitable for safe long-term storage, work that has resulted in a  CO2 storage atlas for the Norwegian shelf.

“This atlas is frequently used by the CCS players,” says Eva Halland.
