Northern Offshore Services (N-O-S) can proudly announce the two newest additions to their fleet: M/V Runner and M/V Responder. These vessels have been customized and modified to fit the N-O-S standard and high expectations of comfort and performance.

The vessels are being built at Penguin Shipyard in Singapore and has an expected delivery date in Q4 2023.

The two new vessels will be hybrid vessels, reducing engine hours and decreasing CO2-emissions. The vessel will be marked with the “Green Technology” logo, as this is part of the initiative taken by N-O-S to decrease the carbon footprint in operations and make the fleet greener. Furthermore, the vessel has a large cargo capacity and has been designed for 24-hour operations. A lot of effort has been put into the design of the PAX saloon to improve the comfort and facilities for technicians being transported.

This is one of many steps that N-O-S takes to increase its fleet with vessels that they believe will be a high-performance vessel in the industry for many years to come, and that helps strengthen the company’s position in the market, as well as pushing the shipping industry to greener practices. Being a larger vessel, it will be able to handle many of the conditions faced on the existing and future windfarms. It can stay out for longer being a 24h vessel, reducing the need to go back to port, saving both fuel and time for the clients.

“We are grateful to be able to build new, efficient vessels that we believe will help projects in the wind industry get closer to net zero emissions.” says Group CEO David Kristensson.
