LR Helps Celebrate 50 Years of OTC Houston

LR will be leading discussions and debate at this year’s OTC Houston in Texas with a series of technical presentations and papers to help oil and gas companies in the Gulf of Mexico and beyond, discover a range of innovations and technology to support US industry as companies tackle the opportunities and challenges of the next 50 years.

The leading global established oil and gas for business event, which will be opening its doors from 30 April to 3 May 2018, brings together industry leaders for four days of world-class discussions and commentary from major brands embracing and developing cutting edge oil and gas technologies.

OTC Houston is expected to attract more than 70,000 dedicated oil and gas visitors.

Explaining the reality of risk and the role of technology

Technology and the digital economy are developing at breakneck speed, and disrupting the world of business. Digitalization in the oil and gas sector could be worth between $1.6 to $2.5 trillion for the industry, its customers and wider society over the next decade. OTC Houston is no exception as it will explore the innovations that are set to be disrupted the most by new technology in offshore exploration, onshore energy production, and manufacturing and shipping, plus much more.
