Clarksons Platou Launches AIR - A Strategic Marine Advisory Service for the Global Offshore Renewables Sector

Clarksons Renewables division has launched AIR, a new full-service strategic marine advisory service. The service is designed to support clients already operating in, or looking to enter, the offshore wind sector.

AIR provides operational and commercial decision-making tools and insights to industry stakeholders.  Combining Clarksons’ global reach and unrivalled experience across vessel procurement, market intelligence & industry research along with energy and marine experts, the service will help clients minimize risk, increase operational efficiency, and deliver excellence during both project development and the offshore execution phase. 

Spearheaded by David Matthews, Mikkel Nielsen and Gabriel Andersen (formerly GE Renewables, Iberdrola and Orsted respectively) AIR offers: 

  • Development of EPCI and O&M marine strategies for both fixed and floating wind
  • Agile vessel and logistics procurement planning, including tender management and execution
  • Commercial market intelligence and industry research in collaboration with Clarksons’ global brokering teams and Clarksons Research
  • Emerging market supply chain engagement and implementation support
  • Technical, operational and commercial due diligence for new vessel design, equipment concepts and complimentary offshore wind corporate business development solution
