ISE Completes Integration of Imaging System on Explorer AUV

International Submarine Engineering (ISE) Explorer AUV undergoing instrument testing in the pool at the ISE facility in Port Coguitlam, BC

International Submarine Engineering Ltd. (ISE) has successfully completed the integration of a new advanced underwater video/still photo subsystem payload to an Explorer class AUV. This Explorer AUV was originally delivered to the client in 2017 and has performed extensive survey operations with multi beam echo sounders and side scan sonars.

The addition of this new camera system provides exciting new operational capabilities and showcases the Explorer AUVs inherent upgradability and ease of integration of diverse sensor packages to maintain current technology capabilities.

The addition of this digital image collection capability dramatically enhances the broader data set resolution. By integrating acoustic data with digital imagery, the end user is obtaining a complete and detailed picture of the seafloor. The successful completion of the integration work and subsequent sea trials illustrate the experience and expertise ISE has acquired in over 4 decades of work in the subsea marine industry.
