SUBSEA 20/20, Inc. Named North American Agency for EvoLogics

SUBSEA 20/20, Inc. was recently named an authorized sales agency for EvoLogics underwater communication and positioning systems. In support of the new partnership, SUBSEA 20/20 principal, Eric Munday, completed a technical sales training program at EvoLogics headquarters in Berlin, Germany. In doing so, SUBSEA 20/20 becomes the first factory-trained agency for EvoLogics in North America. Munday received in-depth technical training in EvoLogics underwater acoustic modems and USBL positioning systems and is now able to offer consulting in system configuration and selection.

"EvoLogics S2C technology offers a significant improvement in underwater data transmission. SUBSEA 20/20 is excited at the opportunity to promote EvoLogics' unique modem and USBL systems", stated principal, Eric Munday. EvoLogics Sweep Spread Carrier (S2C) technology was developed during eight years research on the physics of dolphins' ability to communicate underwater across great distances. S2C technology mimics the naturally existing sonar used by marine mammals to achieve vastly superior bandwidth and transmission rates. EvoLogics underwater acoustic modems and positioning systems continuously spread the signal energy over a wide range of frequencies and adapt the signal structure so that the multipath components do not interfere with each other. At the receiver end, advanced signal processing collects the energy and converts the received signals into sharp signals. This results in achieving significant depression of multipath disturbances and substantial system gain, enabling successful decoding of signals also in challenging environments.

Evologics Senior Operations Manager, Francisco Bustamante, had this to say regarding the new alliance with SUBSEA 20/20, "We are very excited to welcome SUBSEA 20/20 as our representative for the US market. This move will provide a new level of support to the growing number of projects in the country. We are glad to have found a partner interested in top-of-the-line technology with a keen interest in learning the details that provide the performance edge. In addition, the factory training provides SUBSEA 20/20 with the right tools to select the optimal equipment for the customer's applications."
