AML Oceanographic Wins Innovative Excellence Award for UV•Xchange

AML was crowned the champion of Innovative Excellence at the VIATeC Technology Awards on June
20th. In its 13th year, the VIATeC Technology Awards hosted over 750 attendees from Victoria's booming
advanced technology sector and awarded 13 victors selected from over 100 nominees.

The Innovative Excellence Award recognizes a company that has designed and produced a revolutionary product. AML defeated its high-tech opponents with the development of UV•Xchange, a biofouling control product unlike any currently on the market. UV•Xchange prevents fouling by bathing critical surfaces in ultraviolet light, keeping the desired area clean and sensor data accurate. Unlike other existing methods of biofouling control, UV•Xchange inhibits marine growth without any contact or chemical pollution, and is suitable for surfaces of complex geometry.

AML is honored to receive this prestigious award in a thriving technology community, and looks forward to future developments.

Established in 1974, AML Oceanographic designs and manufactures oceanographic instrumentation and sensors. Having pioneered the design of field-swappable sensors, and most recently, a UV biofouling control module, AML continues to strengthen its X•Series product line, providing a full spectrum of instrumentation solutions.
