Equinor (has entered into a swap transaction with bp, under which Equinor will take full ownership of the Empire Wind lease and projects and bp will take full ownership of the Beacon Wind lease and projects.

Omexom Renewable Energies Offshore is supporting the WATERKANT offshore wind farm in the North Sea with its technical expertise. The team from the business unit Offshore Projects was recently awarded the contract by Luxcara, a sustainable energy infrastructure asset manager, for the technical planning and coordination of the WATERKANT offshore wind farm. The wind farm will be built approximately 90 kilometers off the island of Borkum and will provide a total capacity of 270+ MW. Operations are scheduled to commence in 2028.
