Intellian FB500 antenna approved for XpressLink

Inmarsat has selected Intellian, a global provider of stabilised satellite antenna systems, to deliver XpressLink high-speed broadband services across its FB500 antenna.

XpressLink is the world’s leading, fully-integrated Ku-band and L-band solution used with VSAT and FleetBroadband terminals, and is popular with ship owners as it provides unlimited data for a fixed monthly fee and delivers a fully-redundant and resilient service.

XpressLink also offers an easy upgrade path to Inmarsat’s Global Xpress.

Important partner

The FB500 antenna has already demonstrated its effectiveness in supporting XpressLink services after being deployed on vessels belonging to a number of Inmarsat’s commercial maritime customers.

Previously approved to deliver XpressLink services over its V100GX VSAT antennas two years ago, the addition of FB500 within the XpressLink terminal strengthens Intellian’s position as an important partner supporting Inmarsat’s future Maritime portfolio..
